Enjoyed lunch today at Saray II on Allen Street in Springfield. The soup and falafel plate were excellent. The cleanliness of the restaurant and the staff were outstanding! Highly recommended.
My wife and I and another couple went to Saray last night. We went at around 6:30 and had no problem getting a booth seat which we prefer. Going at this time is best because the ethnic crowd comes in after 8. Our server was wonderful. She brought us delicious hot bread and butter and even uncorked the red wine we had and gave us wine glasses As couples we decided to share our appetizers because they are big enough. We ordered Patlican Salad Haydari. Which an array of vegetables and a purple sauce that was very hot. The other was Antep Ezme Humus great on the bread. My wife and I had the Atlantic Salmon Shish Keban for dinner. The meat is served on a stick and tastes great. It's served with rice and vegetables one of which is a very hot pickle tum As I said the restaurant was getting busy when we left but the best part was the price. Very reasonable
Great food, always so nice. Recently I threw them a curve ball just before closing with my order, asking for dairy-free gluten-free cold appetizers. Without hesitation or judgement they packed up an array of fresh veggies to accompany the dish. When I'm home visiting family, this is without a doubt one of my top destinations.
Love the Turkish food here and the warm friendly service ! The lamb is always cooked to perfection and the shepherds salad is one of my favorite dishes . Reasonably priced dishes for those on a bufg Recently remodeled with large dining area . This is my favorite go to for consistently wonderful tasting Turkish food . And by the way , you can bring your own wine !
On Mother's Day unfortunately I didn't get to see my daughter due to work. Our daughter surprise us with delivery from Saray with variety of outstanding food. Everything from salads, entrée, bread and desserts was delicious. We got to experience great foods from a restaurant we have never been and will definitely go to soon.
This is our favorite restaurant and we always come here, even now that we moved out of state, whenever visiting, this is a must stop. It's always very fresh and delicious food, the service is amazing and everyone is extremely pleasant, and they recently remodeled and the restaurant looks beautiful! Highly recommend.
Absolutely love this place... The wife & I always come here when we are in town. Great authentic food. So many options on the menu. Best of all is their customer service. They treat you like family here. 3 Thumbs Up & 5 Stars from us.
Always excellent! We like to get samplers of appetizers and entrees, which is more than enough for two adults and a toddler. We typically order for pickup, and our food is usually ready within 20 minutes. Everyone I've spoken to over the phone is so nice and helpful. The food is always perfection, truly. Flavorful and perfectly cooked and packed with care. I highly recommend! Oh and don't sleep on the kanefa for dessert!
This is a first for me: Turkish, which is similar to Greek or Mediterranean. The place had nice decor and authentic music . Per the restaurant: "Saray 2 Turkish Restaurant has been a home for authentic Turkish dishes for years. A place where can enjoy every food at your heart's content. Foods are well prepared and made from the clean and fresh ingredients. A Halal certified restaurant. A wide selection of our main entrées, with our most ordered Doner Kebobs, and if you want it spicy Adana Kebab is just perfectly made for you. Slowly cooked meat that are served with rice, grilled hot pepper and plum tomatoes. The must eat chicken kebabs and chicken kofte with our seafood entrées. Wraps and sandwiches, salads and vegetarian entrées for Vegans. What's with the long wait? Come and be with us as we give you the taste of Turkey in every dish." First out is the complementary bread. This is a HUGE bowl! The bread is crunchy on the outside. Very good ! For my drink , I'm getting the Uludag (soda) Gazoz. This is a Turkish soda which is similar to Sprite. Skye is having a Uludag Portakal which is Turkish orange soda. Very good! I like it. For my salad , I am having the Roka Salatsi made with fresh arugula, onions , carrots , red cabbage with pomegranate/olive oil dressing topped with walnuts and orange slices. Nice presentation! Both come with lemon to squeeze. These are big and they're just a small! For Skye's salad, she's having the Saray Piyaz made with Fantastico white kidney beans, chopped onions , parsley , red & green peppers topped with olive oil dressing. It's heavy, but otherwise see the above comments. For our soup , we each trying the lentil soup made with a blend of red lentil with Turkish seasoning and fresh herbs. This is good! The flavor is unique. As usual, it comes with a lemon . This place must go through s lot of lemons ! For our appetizer, we are having the Babaganush/Humus appetizer combo. Humus made with chickpeas blended with sesame paste sauce (tahini), garlic , olive oil and cumin. The Babagubush is roasted eggplant purée blended with olive oil, yogurt, lemon juice, tahini sauce and herbs. For my entree, I'm having the Grilled Mixed Chicken with white rice, cracked Bulgur rice (tastes like light tomato ), grilled long hot pepper (this is as strong as a jalapeño) and a grilled plum tomato . This entree is a combination of Chicken Adana Kabab (chicken breast and thighs chopped with red peppers, garlic and seasonings), Chicken Kofte Kebab (chunks of chicken breast and thigh seasoned and blended with garlic and parsley), Chicken Shish Kabab (chunks of chicken breast marinated in a special sauce then grilled on skewers) and Chicken Pirzola (chicken thighs marinated in a special sauce). This is a fantastically delicious dish! For dessert , I'm having the Kadayif which is shredded filo dough wrapped in pistachio nuts and topped with syrup. This is very good! The syrup is in the dessert and there's no shortage of it!
We were on vacation leaf peeping traveling through & found this place. The complementary hot bread was so good. We ordered the luhmacun which was a large portion as you can see in photo & mixed meats. All so good! Our server was a gentleman who was very attentive. My husband ordered 2 grilled hot peppers. Our server was surprised that he actually ate both & brought him another one. He ate that one I'm not sure how. I can't handle picky food. This was a great find! Enjoy!!!
